OKCharacter.org2

We are pleased to announce OKCharacter.og as the first “official” affiliate of the national organization, Character.org.

Our Goal:
Aid in increasing the number of Schools of Character in Oklahoma.

This also means that Oklahoma, being the first state to have an affiliate organization, also becomes the model for other states that are looking to do something similar.

As an affiliate, OKCharacter.org has access to, and may use the intellectual property of Character.org including the materials for training in Character.org’s 11 Principles of Effective Character Education. OKCharacter.org will remain an independent organization that has its own Oklahoma Board of Directors and will still provide training, consultation, and various other help to Oklahoma schools and districts.

The OK State Department of Education remains the State Sponsor for State Schools/Districts of Character. The 2016 schools will once again be celebrated at their summer EngageOk Conference.
