Pennsbury Pride: A Long-Standing Commitment to Academic Excellence, Character, Leadership, Partnerships and Community Service–With the largest high school in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Pennsbury School District is the 10th largest in the State. Bordering the Delaware River, Pennsbury is considered a Philadelphia and New York Metropolitan Area community. Steeped in history, Pennsbury is the home of Pennsbury Manor, William Penn’s summer home, and the Garden of Reflection, the 9-11 Official Pennsylvania Memorial to the Victims of September 11. An economically-diverse community, residents range from industrial workers to professionals who commute daily to New York City and Philadelphia. With a student enrollment of 10,600 students, Pennsbury has 10 elementary, 3 middle and 1 high school. Pennsbury is accomplished in academic excellence, partnerships between business and schools, a tradition of service learning, leadership and community involvement. Pennsbury is famous for its Prom, recognized by Reader’s Digest in 2004 as “Best Prom in America.” Each year, community volunteers transform the gym and cafeteria with a theme to create a night to remember. Pennsbury’s Scholarship Foundation is the oldest in the US, committed to academics and character. Character Education has been a chief strategic planning goal shaping our direction for academic and pro-social and ethical behavior. Across all of our schools, character education is intentionally implemented with satisfying results.
