“Stand Up to Bullying” Week
Violence prevention is a very important focus for today’s schools. The entire Neosho R-5 School District teaching staff participated in a half-day professional development training on violence prevention and has continued to have online training in order to be prepared to protect our students from violence. The District Character Committee, PAWS (Positive Attitudes Worth Sharing), planned a week of activities focusing on the prevention of bullying in our school buildings to raise students' awareness of the issues and consequences of bullying and harassment. With students, teachers, and administrators all focused on stopping bullying, we hope that a culture will develop where bullying is eradicated.
