Champions For Character Award
Our Champions For Character Award honors exemplary individuals and organizations that elevate character in various fields such as sports, business, parenting, after-school programs, media, and public service. We celebrate those who embody, promote, and elevate the importance of character, setting a positive example for others throughout the year.
Sandy Award
Each year, Character.org honors one individual with the Sanford N. McDonnell Award for Lifetime Achievement in Character Education, also known as the Sandy Award. This award is given to someone who has demonstrated a long and steadfast commitment to the field of character education.
Ethics In Action Award
The Ethics In Action Award, named after John Winthrop Wright, founder of The School for Ethical Education, annually recognizes an individual who demonstrates a sustained commitment to ethical leadership. This award highlights those who model core ethical values such as fairness, respect, responsibility, caring, justice, honesty, courtesy, citizenship, and the principles of the Golden Rule.
Laws of Life Essay Contest
The Laws of Life Essay Contest encourages middle school and high school students to reflect on a core value that means the most to them. This contest celebrates the “Most Compelling” essays from around the world, highlighting young voices that articulate the importance of character in their lives.
