Mike Park

CEO

Mike Park serves as Chief Executive Officer of Character.org and CharacterPlus, leading one of the nation’s most comprehensive efforts to advance character formation in schools and communities. A graduate of the University of Alabama , the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and School, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School Executive Development Program, Mike began his career as an Army Intelligence Officer, serving in Europe in high-responsibility roles that demanded disciplined leadership, sound judgment, and unwavering integrity. He later held executive leadership positions in the private sector, directing large-scale operations, product development, and organizational growth for international brands.

Today, Mike combines that leadership experience with a deep commitment to character education. He led the successful transition of CharacterPlus to independent governance and subsequently guided the preservation and integration of Character.org, ensuring the continued stewardship of the internationally recognized 11 Principles Framework and the National Schools of Character program.

A graduate of the Leadership Academy in Character Education (LACE), an Affiliate Scholar with the Center for Character and Citizenship at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, and a member of the UMSL School of Education Dean’s Cabinet, Mike is dedicated to strengthening the role of character as a foundation for human flourishing, ethical leadership, and positive school culture. Through his leadership, Character.org continues to serve as a national voice, convener, and standard-bearer for character education, supporting educators and communities across the United States and around the world.
