WASHINGTON, DC, Sept. 10,, 2015— Character.org , a national advocate and leader for the character education movement , is proud to announce it has selected Congressman John Lewis to receive its 2015 American Patriot of Character award.
Each year, this award is given to one American citizen whose leadership exemplifies the very best of the nation’s founding principles and ideals. The award seeks to recognize individuals who rise to the top of their chosen fields, while upholding the very highest ethical standards in service.
The award will be presented at Character.org’s National Forum on Character Education, Oct. 17 in Atlanta, GA.
